technical and popular articles on the subjects
of aquaculture and fish
farming, and served as

1995-2001: President (volunteer), Rocky Mountain Aquarium
Foundation, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation dedicated to education
in aquatic, terrestrial, and agricultural environments.
Successfully attracted project funding through grant proposals and
political support from government entities. Strong advocate for science
education and demonstrated commitment to public outreach and education through
regular public presentations. Developed
unanimous support for aquarium project from Fort Collins City Council through
public presentations at Council sessions and private meetings with City staff.
Managed and coordinated team volunteer effort.
Web site and curriculum: developed River Explorations as an
interactive, Internet-based freshwater curriculum for grade-school students and
their teachers. Wrote, designed, produced, and
distributed periodic newsletter called Fresh Waters.
1976-82: Project Specialist, University of Wisconsin Aquaculture Research Program.
Involved in all laboratory research functions including grant writing, experimental design
and implementation, literature review, and publication writing and editing.
Designed and
conducted bioassay experiments on yellow perch. Evaluated physical and biological
